Oracle Week 2015: Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Presentation

, ,

As I said in my earlier post about Oracle Week 2015, this is one of the biggest database related educational (non-sale oriented) convention in Israel. None of the session is designed for selling any products (but consultant use it to showcase their abilities hoping to sell some professional services :)). Yesterday was my second daylong session in this convention this year . This time we talked about advanced features in PL/SQL and some new features of Oracle 12c.

Last year, this session agenda consisted of dozens of different topics – the agenda I saw was three slides long with over 15 different titles.
This year, I decided to change things a bit – I sorted down the list I got in the syllabus and came up with three (3!) main topics: Developing, Compiling and Tuning PL/SQL. I also added a section about 11g cool features and 12c new features and a section about my favorite new Oracle tool – the SQLcl.
The presentation went very well with 47 participants (more than double the number of people in the other concurrent sessions). I didn’t get many pictures of me talking, but I did get those which is nice… 🙂
